
Cheaper models may be enough for most business tasks
If you use AI for drafts, summaries, checklists or internal analysis, do not assume the most expensive model is the right default. Test cheaper options against your actual work and keep the stronger model for tasks where it clearly earns its keep.
Ars Technica reported that Anthropic's Opus 5 is more about token efficiency than a major capability jump. The useful takeaway is that cost and fit may matter more than chasing the biggest model.
